Visit Sonoma without having to go to California
It's time you had one of the best dinners ever at Sonoma. Of course, it helps to have a special occasion to celebrate - maybe a birthday, or an anniversary, or quite possibly your dog's half birthday! Doesn't matter, as long as you get there. Bring good friends, experience great conversation, and allow your mouth to water for days to come just thinking about the amazing food – fiddlehead ferns, truffled baby peaches, finnochiono, wild mushroom farrotto. And the best part, there is nary a chicken nugget to be found. Sonoma is the place to go when you want to have some grown up fun and a food experience you will never forget, so it goes without saying that you oughta leave the kids at home for this one. Located on Capitol Hill, just south of the Library of Congress, it’s a vintage urban masterpiece of a space and is staffed by the best wait staff outside of a White House State Dinner. Your server can guide you through the ever-changing and adventurous menu. Feel free to place yourself in the hands of your server, for you will not be disappointed. The wine selection is extensive, and if you are a wine connoisseur (or just like to play one), a night at Sonoma is worth it for the wine alone. It is exquisite! One of our favorite features? For many of Sonoma’s wines, you can order a half glass just to try it out. Again, it's totally safe to simply place yourself squarely in the hands of your ever-capable server who knows not only the food, but the wine list upside down and backwards. After your meal, take a relaxing stroll around the lovely neighborhoods of Capitol Hill - after all, you'll want to make sure those kids are fast asleep before you slip back through the front door, right?
